About Us
Fancy being part of a team looking to make York the first anti racist and inclusive city in the North of England? Could you play a key role in helping to make York a city which is fair and equal to everyone who lives, works or visits, regardless of their background?
We’re Inclusive Equal Rights UK 3.0 (IERUK), a grassroots organisation looking to do exactly that. We’re a small friendly team who use our expertise in evidence-based research, policymaking, strategy, and advocacy on anti-racism, to try and change this city we love for the better.
Job Description:
We’re seeking a highly organised Project Coordinator with an eye for detail to join us at a crucial stage in our anti-racism mission. As a Project Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the three tiers of the Anti-Racism Taskforce, recently developed to implement the actions of our Anti-Racism and Inclusion Strategy. You’ll be the crucial link between the three tiers, organising and facilitating meetings, sharing relevant information and providing expertise in project planning to make sure things get done when they’re supposed to.
You’ll work closely with our directors as well as the Chairs of governance groups, using your knowledge and communication skills to keep all necessary stakeholders informed and up to date. Crucially, you’ll have a determination to ensure that project objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Directors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
· Serve as a central point of contact for the Anti-Racism Taskforce which consists of difference governance teams and numerous stakeholders.
· Coordinate meetings and resources to ensure they’re run in a professional manner within the given timeframe.
· Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and status reports.
· Ensure that project documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
· Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Work proactively to mitigate risks and resolve issues as they arise. Escalate critical issues to project managers and leadership as needed.
· Work with the Monitoring Officer (IERUK Research Lead) to monitor project progress and performance against established metrics and quality standards.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a project coordinator or similar role, preferably in a related industry.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficiency in project management tools and software (Microsoft 365)
· Ability to work effectively on your own, in a team, and manage multiple priorities.
· Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
