WELCOME.
We are Inclusive Equal Rights UK 3.0 (IERUK). We are a grassroots organisation leading on evidence-based research and policymaking, strategy, and advocacy on anti-racism, disproportionate societal inequalities and institutional barriers.
We are on a mission to make York the first anti racist and inclusive city in the North of England.
Our vision is to make York a fairer and more equal city for those that live, work or visit, regardless of their background, ability, gender, culture or creed.
Part of our work has been the creation of a five-year Anti-Racism and Inclusion Strategy for the City of York.
This has been developed in partnership with academics from the Institute for Social Justice at York St John University.
The five-year strategy is a response to quantitative data collected by IERUK from council, schools, higher education, policing, healthcare, social care, housing, government agencies and the private sector.
In July 2023, the council’s executive and councillors, unanimously passed the five-year anti-racism and inclusion strategy and action plan.

RESEARCHING ANTI RACISM IN YORK
We are working with the Institute of Social Justice at York St John University
Research focus: To what extent and in what ways are ethnic minorities in York subjected to racism and discrimination at individual and/or institutional levels, and what forms does this take?
Purpose of the research: The purpose of this project is to illuminate the extent to which ethnic minority groups within York are exposed to racism and discrimination in the areas of education, healthcare and policing to facilitate the production of a comprehensive, evidence-based anti-racism and inclusion strategy.
